Duty Description: Serves as Special Forces Senior Communications Sergeant on a Special Forces Operational Detachment - Alpha; performs, supervises and instructs communications techniques and operations employed in both conventional and unconventional warfare; recruits, organizes, trains, advises and supervises indigenous and/or non-indigenous personnel and organizations up to Battalion level; responsible for establishing, securing and maintaining communications during operations; responsible for cryptographic materials; acts as principal adviser to the commander in all matters pertaining to electronic communications.

Duty Description: Serves as an Intelligence Sergeant on a Special Forces Operational Detachment - Alpha; is the principal advisor to the Detachment Commander for intelligence collection and analysis, planning and execution of small unit direct action, special reconnaissance, and unconventional warfare operations; develops evasion and recovery plans and collateral activities of coalition support throughout the area of operations; capable of training, advising and leading a Battalion size indigenous force; responsible for the accountability and maintenance of over $200,000 of assigned weapons and related equipment; acts as principle advisor to the commander on all matters pertaining to intelligence operations.
